The wind howls through the streets, rattling loose shutters. The creek of an old weathervane spinning above the provisions store’s sunbaked roof and the occasional passing car or train disturbs the silence.

The townsfolks are as hardy as the land they live in, weathered, hardworking and weary of strangers. Will you find what you were looking for hear, or will you fade into the sands like so many others…
